plundered

the human experience has been plundered.

computers in our pockets contain the world,
a connection to it, a ticket away from it, a
means to capturing moments away from moments,
and everything and anything you could imagine
at the blink of an eye.

algorithms discern comprehensive analysis on
what will keep us looking at the screen as long
as possible. advertisers purchase information
through data brokers that is more detailed
than anything your doctors have on file.

big money has been spent in order to keep the boat afloat.
but I wonder,
at what cost?
