Do the work that must be done.
Read those before you
who set the rules for breaking.
Listen to the words spoken all around
for they set your tempo.
Dance without form
and within form.
Learn to step
to jazz, ballet, or throat singing.
Write. Write until your fingers hurt
then learn to write left handed
and keep going.
This dynamite inside you
never runs out of nitre.
Explode! Be an artist
of your own medium.
Continue to do the work
until it kills you.
And when it does kill you
make sure to die
poetically.
