Everyone is scared

Everyone is scared.

Can we take a moment to breathe?

In-out. In-out. Relax a moment.

It’s pretty wild out there right now, isn’t it?

Take a sip of your drink and sit with me.
There’s space enough for everyone.

It is not wrong to feel frightened.
Many thousands of bad actors
and their employees
are working to make sure
that we feel as fearful as possible.
This causes us to act irrationally.
This causes us to spend money.

Do not forget of the existence of “false flag” tactics.
Those in power will do absolutely anything
to uphold their version of the status quo.
They make generations long promises to help each other.
They go to the same law schools. They have homes in
Martha’s Vineyard. They use the same housekeepers.
The same bank accounts fund both sides of the aisle.
Money talks and votes and does “catch and kill” tactics
on news and kills journalists and kills whistleblowers and
buys lobbyists and causes inflation while raising unemployment.

If at this moment you’ve become worried about the future
of our fine country, welcome. It is good to have you. Many of us
have been here since he came down the escalator as a response
to Hope.

My words of reprieve: shut them out.
Read a book. Any book. Analyze it.
Realize how much the world has been the world
and live tomorrow how you lived yesterday.
