i get it now. the surrealists aren’t showing 
anything outside of our reality. they’re showing us 
exactly what we already see, they’re just smashing 
our eyes into reality while saying “look now, don’t you 
understand?” 

but now understanding has become the vehicle of 
rationalization until the end of time. we made rationalizing 
machines that rationalize faster than we ever could. 
and what good have they done us? 

unmatched productivity. 
historic childhood suicide rates. 
a million medicines for indigestion, 
and millions of children who go to sleep hungry. 
tummy-tucks, ab implants, liposuction, 
and more children amputees than ever in history. 

it’s all so real. so real. so-real.
